The Warsaw Murall Climbing Centre is the perfect proposition for all those who prefer to spend their free time actively. Of course, this is a year-round proposal, and the centre is located at ul. Annopol. The Centre offers its services 7 days a week from dawn to dusk, so the issue of proper, reliable lighting is an elementary matter. Choosing the right sources was our task.
Murall has a rich offer for both beginners and more advanced enthusiasts of climbing sports. These goals are implemented by appropriately profiled sections. Adults and children can develop their skills under the guidance of experienced instructors
While selecting the light sources, the above-mentioned factors were taken into account, as well as technical factors such as: the height of the room and the area to be illuminated. At first glance, the climbing facility has similar properties as industrial facilities such as industrial halls. Therefore, we have chosen sources that have already been used in industrial areas, specifically: Greenie LED bulbs from the AluCorn series.
AluCorn is a popular and proven product that is available in various specifications, from 20W to as much as 250W. Two models were used to illuminate the climbing centre: 66W and stronger model 113W, both at cold colour temperature, i.e. 5000-6500K. Sources were installed in existing “goliath” type bucket holders (thread E40). As you can see in the pictures from the implementation – they fit perfectly.
Thanks to the appropriate sources, the whole room has been adequately illuminated. We managed to achieve the desired lighting intensity both in the recreation part of the facility and in the rest area. The lamps are placed on relatively high, but due to the high luminous efficiency: 66W (105 lm/W), 113W (109 lm/W) the entire space has been filled with powerful, efficient light that fully allows you to use the climbing centre. The colour of light also fits into a colourful, multicoloured interior
The Murall climbing centre is almost an ideal example of the investment in the replacement of lighting with LEDs, considering, for example, the number of hours of lighting in the year and the purpose of the facility. Due to operating hours investment becomes profitable in a shorter time, and thus in the long run it allows you to generate significant savings. Increased lifespan and lower failure rate also allow enjoying the services of the facility without random inconveniences.
Analyzing the above case, we can risk a thesis that currently there is no better alternative for LED solutions. LED lighting caused that the Murall Climbing Centre gained unique character and was perfectly illuminated. The low wattage of AluCorn bulbs (compared to sodium or mercury equivalents) guarantees lower electricity bills.
