The portfolio of Greenie Polska includes another interesting project. We had the pleasure of taking under our wing the sports field in the village located next to the Russian border – Gołdap. The sports complex is located next to the Tadeusz Kościuszko Primary School No. 3, and it includes a handball and basketball court, a running track and a shot put area.
The cooperation started quite unusual. The client turned to us with specific requirements and a ready project, but expected the greatest possible reduction in costs. The concept created so far includes the use of very expensive asymmetrical lighting fixtures. Our engineers agreed that the proposed solution could be replaced with symmetrical lighting that would provide more favorable results – also in modern LED technology. This lighting will not only work better on the pitch, but will also be much cheaper. Our company’s mission was to reduce lighting costs without losing high lighting parameters. We decided to take care not only of the financial aspects, but also of the comfort of using the sports facility.
Greenie Polska engineers started work. Lighting the handball field (dimensions 40 x 20 meters) and basketball (dimensions 28 x 15 meters) requires meeting the applicable standards in the amount of 75 lx for each of them. As for the treadmill (dimensions 92 x 42 meters) – it is a value of 100lx. In the case of handball and basketball courts, despite the use of less powerful luminaires, we obtained results 60% better than the competitive design. Thanks to the above-average qualifications of our employees and the use of high-quality 32 IC Gasoline 250W LED industrial lamps, the standards were met more than twice in the case of sports fields. This means that more light has been achieved and better uniformity has been achieved with a significant reduction in costs.
Gasoline lamps have a beam angle of 60 ° adapted to the lighting of all types of sports facilities. What’s more, they are a perfect solution for halls, including industrial ones. Thanks to the use of modern Philips 3030SMD LEDs and dedicated lenses, the product has a long range of illumination and provides a perfectly focused beam of light. Each of the 8 poles – 9 meters high – has 4 lighting fixtures.
It resulted in obtaining even illumination necessary for free and comfortable sports. The design difficulty was that the columns were not arranged symmetrically.
Therefore, our designers had to adapt the lighting plans to the position of the masts. Importantly, Gasoline 250W industrial lamps are light (only 6 kg), which eliminates the problem of overloading the poles. Another undeniable advantage is their power – one luminaire generates a luminous flux of 30,000 lumens. The Gasoline LED lamp has a surge protection – it is very useful and provides protection, e.g. during a storm. Industrial luminaires surprised new users with their durability. They remained fully functional even during the record frosts that took place in Gołdap in February 2018 (-26 ° C). Moreover, the IP65 tightness class guarantees that the lamps are resistant to dust and water jets with an intensity of 12.5 l / min. On the other hand, the modular structure and a specially designed heat sink enable very good heat dissipation and significantly facilitate maintenance. Gasoline is a professional and proven product – it has all the required certificates and a five-year warranty. It also meets the photobiological standard EN 62471 for the safety of lamps and lamp systems. Their light and electrical parameters have been verified by the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.

The pitch in Gołdap attracts fans of basketball, handball and other sports with modern lighting. Gasoline lamps contribute to the comfort and safety of participants, while at the same time providing owners with low electricity bills.
An interesting fact is that the IC Gasoline LED industrial luminaires are perfect for lighting training football fields. According to FIFA standards, the full-size pitch should be 105 x 68 meters. The lamps used during the implementation of the sports facility in Gołdap can be successfully installed on such a pitch – with the certainty that they will provide sufficiently strong light adapted to professional games. In order to obtain the correct lighting of a football stadium intended for training and recreational games, 36-40 LED IC Gasoline 250W luminaires are required.
