Poznań International Fair in a completely new light from Greenie

You can boldly note another success of our international company from the LED lighting industry Greenie Polska. This time the order came from Poznań from a prestigious institution organizing fairs and product presentations, events, B2B meetings of entrepreneurs and exhibitors of all industries on the market and many others. It is about replacing the lighting in the halls of the Poznań International Fair. One of the key issues in trade is the proper presentation of the product – it cannot be done without proper lighting that shows the true colors and increases the attractiveness of the stand. This is very important as there are fundamental differences between natural and artificial light. A conscious customer is more and more demanding in this regard. This means that the entrepreneur must also take this into account in his business plan. The MTP halls gathering both customers and entrepreneurs under one roof create great conditions for the implementation of modern lighting, which will not only allow for the favorable presentation of goods, but also save energy.

The existing 400W metal halide lamps – due to their short lifetime (about one year) and high energy consumption, were too expensive. They also required frequent replacement and servicing of the power supply system. Besides, they did not meet the latest safety requirements. Current EU regulations require that you protect EU citizens by restricting the use of mercury-based lamps, which are toxic to living organisms. All this resulted in the investment in the form of the purchase of energy-saving and ecological Greenie HighBay Flat 200W LED lamps. They have a 5-year service life, do not contain hazardous metals and are easy to recycle. This model also has many useful features. Thanks to special sensors, Greenie lamps are able to respond to the intensity of natural light – adjusting their power to the current weather conditions or the time of day, which additionally allows to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. In addition, special motion sensors react to the presence of guests and go out when they leave the room. Greenie provides these innovative light sources with a lifetime of up to 50,000. hours of operation time at an affordable price with a 5-year warranty. The high reliability of this light source has been achieved by an aluminum housing that dissipates heat well and the use of a Mean Well LED power supply resistant to overvoltage, short circuit and overheating. For the needs of MTP, special secured hooks were used when installing new lighting.

An investment that reduces costs

One of the objectives of the installation of the new lamps was to obtain a light with an intensity of 300 lux on an area of 1 m2 while maintaining high uniformity of light distribution. The Greenie Highbay Flat model that was used for the tender also met this challenge. A total of 58 luminaires were installed with a significant margin of lighting efficiency. In second place was naturally the reduction of energy consumption costs. Thanks to the new lamps, they have been reduced by over 50%. For comparison, it is worth recalling that the old lamps consumed about 400W plus an additional 50W on ignition. The new lighting is also resistant to the conditions of increased dustiness in the air, each lamp has a waterproof rating of IP65, which will prevent moisture from getting inside – even in the form of water vapor. Finally – the durable structure of the lamps with IK08 resistance makes them highly resistant to mechanical damage. The last advantage of the product is the fact that thanks to its features – heat dissipation system, tightness and sensors regulating the light intensity, it does not require maintenance, typical for traditional lamps. All this makes the installation of this lighting a successful investment by MTP, which has found a cost-effective and efficient product to work for many years.

Integrating Greenie lighting is not only efficient but also very economical. HBF has a great Power Factor, which basically does not consume reactive power, so that the investor does not have to worry about additional charges for reactive power.

Thanks to the appropriate lighting angle, the light spreads perfectly around the hall, which further improves the uniformity of light.

The arrangement of the lamps has been precisely adapted to the design assumptions. The project was created in the Dialux program, which allowed us to choose the right number of luminaires to meet the requirements of the Poznań International Fair.

Thanks to Greenie lighting, the presentation of products at the Poznań Fair has become much easier and more pleasing to the eye…
