Realization of LED lighting in Carolina Car Company – Toyota

The main purpose

Carolina Car Company is an authorized dealer of Toyota cars. Our task was to design and choose the lighting for the Toyota Wola office, located at Prymasa Tysiąclecia 54 Alley in Warsaw’s Wola district.

The project was an interesting challenge because of the nature of the place, as the car showroom consists of a large usable space, used for different purposes. Industrial and office destinations of this place are intertwined, as on the one hand, there is a large exhibition space of products – in this case cars – and on the other hand, there is an office space and spaced destined for customer service as well as space for employees. Beyond doubt adequate lighting affects the functioning of such object, therefore, the proper selection of lighting products demanded taking  many factors into consideration.

Implementation

After preparation of the audit and the project products of the two segments were chosen. In order to illuminate cars in the exhibition part we have used: Greenie LED HighBay industrial bulb in a version of 52W and 30W, with a  neutral light color (4000-4500K). As the name suggests it is a product which main purpose is an industrial lighting. As it was shown in the example of Toyota’s showroom their application may be extended. These efficient lamps produce a strong beam of light, and a wide viewing angle of 120 ° which provides adequate lighting of a surface.

In the office we have used: LED tubes with a T5 standard with power of 20W and 12W and T8 tubes with of power 9, 18 and 30W. Moreover, we have used  Greenie Office PLC LED G24 with a power of 9 and 7W. All of these sources had neutral light color. LED tubes and PLC lamps  are classic products of office segment. They are efficient, economical and suitable for long work, therefore they successfully replace traditional solutions.

The final result

All sources used in the same tone of white proved to be compatible with each other. As a result, the whole area is very well lit, there and there are no darkened places. Furthermore, neutral light has a relatively high color rendering index, therefore, even in case of using industrial lamps, the illuminated colors of objects (cars) present their natural beauty. On the other hand, neutral light in the office part is empirically confirmed to be a solution that  creates and stimulates working conditions.

The use of LED sources in the building is associated with additional benefits. All products are characterized by a high degree of efficiency (industrial 52W lamps can replace up to 150-180W traditional lamps) and allow to reduce costs of maintenance as a result of longer service life of a light source.

The final result fully meets our and client’s expectations. As a result, the return on investment is very quick and allows to rationally benefit from the exchange. Moreover,  significant reduction in the failure of light sources prevents the recurring need of changing burned out fluorescent lamps.

In summary, the use of LED tubes  Greenie Professional LED T8 and T5 and industrial HighBay lamps of IN series had a positive impact on every aspect of the operation of the entire lighting system. This provided better performance generated a savings of up to 80%, and reduced failure rate.
