Implementation
The process of replacing linear fluorescent lamps for LED replacements can be performed in two ways. You can focus on the exchange of the same fluorescent lamps – then you should modify the luminaire and replace only the light sources. Another possibility is to replace the whole fluorescent lamp to luminaires with LED sources.
In the case of the commercial network Pelcowizna we have agreed with the client, that we will implement the first option, i.e. that we will install fluorescent light sources in a properly prepared luminaire. We used Greenie Professional LED tubes T8, 18W 120cm with a neutral white color temperature 4000-4500K and matte covering.
The final result
As a result of using Greenie Professional LED T8 18W 120cm lights, we have managed to obtain a uniform illumination across the surface of the store. Neutral temperature is characterized by the most favorable CRI factor (color rendering index), thanks to that, the exposition of products (vegetables and fruits) is presented in their natural colors and is not distorted in any way. After replacing light sources we have also eliminated the problem occurring in the case of fluorescent lamps, where some of them are glowing with different kind of light, negatively affecting the perception of exposition and interior design.
Another positive result of the replacement of fluorescent lamps was the economic factor. Greenie LED Professional T8,18W, 120cm light tubes are characterized by a much lower energy consumption, which ensures reaching of more than 50% savings. In this case, we have applied LED lamps with a length of 120cm consuming 18W, which were installed in place of the old fluorescent light sources with a power 36W (plus, power consumption of the ballast / starter which made the efficient consumption of previous light sources equal to 41.5W).
